Exceptionnel Winchester Model 12 Trench Gun militaire datant de 1945, dans un remarquable état de conservation.

Cet authentique fusil à pompe présente les marquages U.S. et « flaming bomb » sur le boîtier, ainsi que le cartouche aux canons croisés et le poinçon de l’inspecteur Guy H. Drewry sur la crosse.

Son numéro de série 1018XXX correspond à la période de production de la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

Canon en excellent état, mécanisme fluide et bois sans fissure.

Garde-main thermique Winchester à quatre rangées, marqué « W ».

Canon 20 pouces (51 cm) en calibre 12/70 (12 Gauge – chamber 2¾), capacité 5+1 coups.

Une très rare pièce militaire de collection.

Rare Winchester Model 12 Trench Gun militaire fabriqué en 1945, à la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Produit à environ 60 000 exemplaires en configuration militaire durant le conflit, le Model 12 est aujourd’hui particulièrement recherché dans sa véritable configuration « Trench Gun », de nombreux exemplaires ayant été transformés ou affectés à l’entraînement et au maintien de l’ordre.

Cet exemplaire porte les marquages militaires attendus : inscription « U.S. » et emblème de la grenade enflammée sur le boîtier, cartouche aux canons croisés et poinçon de l’inspecteur Guy H. Drewry sur la crosse. Son numéro de série 1018XXX se situe dans la plage généralement attribuée à la production de la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, autour de 1945.

L’arme conserve une très belle finition d’origine sur ses principaux éléments. Le garde-main thermique, correctement marqué d’un « W » pour Winchester, correspond au rare modèle à quatre rangées de perforations.

L’intérieur du canon est en excellent état et le mécanisme fonctionne avec fluidité. Les bois sont très bien conservés : ils présentent seulement quelques petites marques d’utilisation compatibles avec leur âge, sans fissure constatée.

Le Winchester Model 12 se distingue par son système historique de tir « slam-fire » : lorsque la détente reste pressée, chaque cycle complet de la pompe provoque automatiquement la percussion à la fermeture de la culasse.

Une pièce historique d’une grande rareté, représentative des fusils militaires américains employés pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, destinée au collectionneur exigeant de Winchester et d’armes réglementaires américaines.
